General Client Information
Appointments
We usually schedule appointments between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday. However, to meet your needs, early morning, weekend and evening
appointments are available.If you have an emergency, please tell my legal
assistant and I’ll see you as soon as possible.
Telephone Messages
When you call me, and I’m in conference, please leave a message with my legal
assistant, and one of us will return your call as soon as possible.
When my office is closed, voice mail is available to take your message. My
office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are closed
between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. for lunch. If you reach voice mail during
normal office hours, it is because both my legal assistant and I may both be
with clients or away from the office. Please be sure and leave a message on
voice mail and one of us will return your call as soon as possible.
Fees, Costs and Office Charges
If an attorney-client relationship is mutually agreeable, you will be provided
an attorney fee agreement to read and review, and sign and return to me. The
attorney fee agreement will identify in detail all charges for my services, my
obligations to you, and your obligations as a client.
My fees are billed on an hourly basis. I also charge for legal assistant time,
as well as photocopy, long distance and fax costs. Usually you will be billed
monthly and payment is due in 10 days following billing. Please don’t hesitate
to ask me for an explanation of any charges.
Retainers
For some work I will request a retainer or advance payment. We deposit all
retainers in the client trust account and draw upon as fees, costs and expenses
are earned or paid. I may request additional retainer funds if your trust
account is depleted. You may request an accounting at any time.
